Nigel not feeling well

Not sure what is going on with Nigel but his appetite is now nil. Yesterday he ate less of his canned food and this morning again ate about half of it. This evening at 6:10, he ate nothing and I had to drag him in from laying outside. He is usually very vocal until he gets his food but only one meow out of him this evening. He did use the litter box and there was alot of urine there. Not sure if maybe he is constipated(?) but yesterday his BG at 4:00 p.m. was 1o4 and this evening at 6:15 was 130. Does illness raise the BG? I'm hoping it isn't another Vet visit for him because I don't want them putting him back on Humilin while he is there. Any thoughts? Is 130 high for him since he usualy runs in the 80's - 100"s ??

yes, illness of any type will raise the BG. you have mirilax?? 1/8-1/4 tsp BID should help. since he goes outside, any possibility he got into something?/ (you know, those bad germs) serious but kidding you from our conversation at your house.
my first thought was constipation also. maybe just a plain old tummy ache. could try 1/4 pepcid AC (regular) bid

Just gave him 1/4 tablet of Pepcid but it expired 2/10. Only had the ones you gave me, Dian. Haven't purchased any of my own. Guess I'll have to that. How about the BG? Should I continue to check it periodically? I actually have another cat who is a bit under the weather today but she is eating. I also have Metoclopramide here. Anyway, as poorly as he looks, I will probably have my husband take him to the Vets tomorrow as I have to work. Oh, he already takes 1/8 teaspoon Miralax twice a day. He may need more though if this turns out to be constipation. Will keep you posted. Thanks!

sorry, I am in bed early. if constipated, yes increase to 1/4 tsp/day. I would check BG periodically. never know when or what will toss them out of remission and the sooner you are on top of it, the better KWIM??
