Newman's Own Wet Food

My one year old kitty Jeter has chronic diarrhea, he is healthy other than the runny stinky poo! We tested him for worms and it came back negative. Next test I'll have done is the one for Giardia, but I think it is a food issue with him. My sister has the same issue with her kitty, who is Jeter sibling. Callie tested negative for Giardia. I been using Floia Forta, so far it hasn't helped. I bought some Wellness food, but none of my cats liked it so now I'm going to try Neman's Own wet food. I really want to end this yucky poo thing! I have to dump litter and clean the boxes a lot! Anyone else dealing with runny poo issues? If so what foods have you tried?

When you did the food changes, did you do them gradually, or all at once? Doing food changes all at once can trigger diarrhea.

Some owners of cats with chronic diarrhea have had success with raw diets.

If no infectious cause is found, you might ask the vet might consider looking at the pancreatic enzymes as deficiencies may cause stinky, runny poo, too.

Also, irritable bowel may cause diarrhea issues.

oh my...Maui had almost a year of this problem and now today, it only happens on occasion.

Here's what helped getting rid of all dry food, feeding her only one flavor/brand of food and after several weeks, on one flavor/brand then slowly introducing another flavor. I've kept to poultry as that seems to work and occasionally give beef.

I also add probiotics to the food each day. I don't use forti flora - mine didn't like it, rather I use jarrow brand - petdolpholus. If yours likes the forti then stick with it.

The trick is not to change the food, find one they like and just feed that brand and one flavor. yes it sounds boring, but believe me - it worked for Maui!
