My cat has had Diabetes for about a year now, and I have not been able to get control of it at all. I once posted on reddit but did not get any guidance. I recently stumbled across this board after having a tough week with him and learned today my cat also has a hyper thyroid. Here I thought he was DKA, and instead we found new results.
Looking for some serious guidance because I am starting to realize (Much to late) that I am way out of my league. I feel like I have alot to learn about diet, his dosing, and just managing everything in general. I live in a small town and am very grateful for my vet but I don't think they see a lot of diabetic animals and so I don't think that together we have provided him the best treatment.
If i were to explain mine and my cats life together as simply as possible, I would say I live with a racoon... I miss having a cat. Please help us!

There are some folks that will help you get set up but - really - what someone told me on my first post - welcome to the best place you never thought you would be. There is so much knowledge here. I'm sure you will get some guidance. What is your kitty's name?
