Newly diagnosed - pretty overwhelming in CMH

Reducing the dose is encouraging.

And I find that some sort of magnifier is a very helpful with those tiny doses! Carson clip and Flip attach to glasses and flip out of the way when not needed. There are also visor/headband magnifiers, and of course, stand magnifiers. Check Amazon for these and see what grabs you.

For sure! So i would definitely hold this new dose for at least 3 days and see what happens. Keep testing and look for more lows -especially at night. Another drop under 50 means another dose decrease.. which is another step towards remission!

Plus remember if you miss a low you could see weird highs for a few days in a row as a result

At vets right now. Came home, fed and shot Basil up and then discovered blood on floor and in litter box. Verified it was Bas when he used the box twice in 3 mins.
Had to explain to vet tech why he is on .75 units rather than the 4 they prescribed!
hope he is ok.

No you don`t have to explain anything he is your cat. I hope he gets better. Maybe a urinary infection? Sending prayers for him.

Thanks Terri. Still waiting for doc but just picked him up and he peed blood everywhere. I guess its good its not blood everywhere but still worrying. Might be a uti? Should find out soon I hope.

The good news is he came home with me last night after 2hrs at the vet. I have antibiotics to give him now twice a day while we wait for Cray diagnosis to see if he has stones and the culture exam for a uti.

I use Northarlington Animal Clinic (Dierker Rd in NW Columbus) with Dr Marya Tedders.

She is willing to prescribe Lantus and is more experienced with ProZinc.
