Back on this board after a few years. This board was a real support with my late cat, Willi. I have been taking active care with my mom's cat, Sam. He is 15 years old and was recently diagnosed with early stage CRF and also is hyperthyroid being regulated with the creme on the ear. The vet wants to put him on a prescription of Purina NF. Are there any thoughts on this diet or is it best to go to the charts and look for the medium protein and low-phos foods? I was curious what the current thinking on the boards were on this and/or if there were other resources in this regard I could review online. Thanks.
