Newly diabetic cat

Hi.
I just found out today that my beloved 7 year old cat has diabetes. I am just devastated. I hope to learn a lot from all of you. Thanks.
 
Hello and welcome to the board,

Don't be upset, this is a highly manageable and treatable disease. If you do all the right things at the start and are lucky you have a good chance of remission, but if not, cats can live a long and happy life as insulin controlled diabetics.

Please tell us more about yourself and your kitty.. Names?, what food are you feeding, what insulin are you giving if any and how much? How was this diagnosed and what were the symptoms?
