My cats seem to have nearly all decided they no longer want to pee in the litter box. Surely it must be the box since it is a joint decision.

I know I must need new and more boxes. I've been using steel litter pans which seemed to mostly work well until the last month or two - have had them maybe a year and a half or two. I would like something non-toxic and with no off gassing smell from plastic.

Suggestions?

They’re teaming up against you lol sorry couldn’t resist. Joint decision cracked me up ha!:D:p:D

this is the box i have. I got rid of the fake plant on top and put a real fern. It's plastic but i don't notice a smell.

Make sure allllll the smell of pee is cleaned out from where they are going or they will continue to go there. My fave cleaners are anti icky poo unscented (no smell at all since smell seems to bother you?) and Angry Orange. AO has a strong orange smell but I like it.

I use vinegar and baking soda. Works like a charm!

I've never found that to be enough. It would kill the smell to me, but not to the cats. Need something meant for biological messes.
Interesting. It works for my guys. I let the vinegar sink in for a few hours then I wipe it off and add the baking soda I press it in and let that sit for another few hours then wash it off again maybe it works better on hardwood floors...
