If you've joined our group in the last year you have probably read or seen many stickies and posts by Jill.
Jill left this world just a bit over a year ago and she is missed. To keep this short I've included the link to the original notice, the link to how one of our moderators Robert helped get the site off the ground way back in 1996 and the story of our original sugar cat Austin.
Some of us take it for granted or don't notice that every last thing here is free and run by volunteers. It's an easy thing to wish for, another thing entirely to pay for servers, maintenance and hope none of us burn the house down by giving terrible dosing advice. Today is Thanksgiving day in Canada and I am eternally grateful for this wonderful place and the people who make it happen and never ask for anything in return.
Nothing in life is easy, it just looks that way when you find a place like this.

Every time I come to this forum these days I miss that Jill isn't here. She did so much and brought so much to this place. I really valued her dedication and commitment. But I also really valued her willingness to keep learning, to be open to new research and to new ideas.
This forum is a poorer place because of her not being here.

I hope that - wherever Jill is - she feels happy and appreciated and loved. x
