I was wondering if some experienced PZI users could take a look at Bama's spreadsheet and help me determine if there is anything I should change to help her go and stay OTJ.
Bama was diagnosed on 3/12 and started PZI that evening. I have been home testing from day one but I was not maintaining a spreadsheet with notes in the beginning. She was eating Purina DM dry when diagnosed and was barely eating. I immediately started to switch her over to wet food and have been feeding FF classics only for at least 2 weeks. Between weight loss and the switch to low carb wet food her numbers started to come down very quickly.
I went with my gut feeling when adjusting her insulin dose as her numbers came down. I'm not sure I used the best approach to lowering her dose but the end result seems to indicate I didn't do anything too horrible.
Current status:
Last injection was 4/13 AM
Increased energy and activity levels for the past 1.5-2 weeks
Fed 1 can FF twice per day at AMPS and PMPS, food is not finished in one sitting and is consumed throughout the day
Changes I am making now:
Mini meals - Feeding 1/2 can per meal for a total of 4 meals per day
Ordered urine glucose test strips - arriving on 4/16
Changes I am considering:
Microdosing
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated!
