Newbie needs *more* starting dose advice

Hi There,
Its true....i am a newbie who was just at the vets office today. He started my Leo out on a 3.5 unit dose/twice per day. I am being told that this dose is too high and most are recommending i start out with either a 1.0 or 1.5 unit dose. Tomorrow is the first dose.......Please help!!!

Bump! Tracy got a much lower number (244) this afternoon (she took away the dry food today), and her first dose of 1.5u was this morning. I think she should probably drop her dose down to 1u and hold that, since Leo's shed hasn't had time to fill yet. Could some others weigh in on her thread?
