Hi Everyone,

Sue & Oliver suggested I join this group & I wanted to introduce Tigger & myself.

We're switching to Prozinc from the oral Glipizide. My vet's calling this afternoon with a dosage. I hope it's 1/2 or 1 ml to start.

I see our local Costco can get PZI in 3-4 days for $115, & Drs Foster & Smith has it for $94.99 = 24.99 shipping + tax = roughly the same price, & I can get it by Wednesday. Wal-mart & CVS don't carry it.

Has anyone here ordered from either place & have any feedback?

Thanks very much!

Was thinking the same thing about the dose. My vet sold me our bottle of Prozinc for 98 bucks. His price I guess. He is good like that.

Edit: Meant to say Welcome! Simon is a Prozinc kitty too. It works well if you can't be home much of the day because it doesn't stay in the cat's system (generally) past 12 hours so it is a little safer if you are gone a lot of the day.

Hi Suzanne,

Nice to see you took our suggestion and decided to come over here from Feline Health. Nice group of people over here and I think you'll really like it.

Welcome
Its nice to have you here.
I get the ProZinc at the vets office. He charges me $102

Glad you made it over here, Suzanne. It's a small but friendly group. It may take a while to get a response so if you need an immediate answer, post on Health.

Did I read on Health that you were having trouble with the spreadsheet? If you want me to help, send me a private message (at the bottom of this box, click on the PM button.)

Hi and welcome to our group.

A few years ago my Costco had Prozinc for $77. and I got the vet to price match.

I'm really glad that you are switching over to insulin. It is so much better for them.

Hi, Suzanne and Tigger! We're new to ProZinc but not diabetes; Chuck came out of remission recently after nearly 5 years.

My vet sells the ProZinc for $99.97 -- it comes with a Sharps disposal unit and 100 U-40 syringes.
