Hi all. My little girl was just diagnosed last week with diabetes. The vet prescribed Lantus, twice a day. I found a seller on craigslist who is selling a box of 5 pens for $75 (it was for him, but he was able to reduce his insulin due to dietary modulation). To be honest, I'm worried about getting drugs off of craigslist...even though the guy is a self-professed animal lover and expressed sympathy about my cat having diabetes, I'm still wary. Any advice/thoughts?

Right before I read your response, I read the document! Now I just need to figure out what the box and factory-sealed looks like. Sorry...I'm still navigating this site.

Oh, AND, the guy wants to give me the box free!!!! He's an animal lover.

Look at the rubber stopper where the pen needles/syringe needle would go. It should not show any punctures.
I have purchased insulin from Craig's list.

You'll need some U-100 syringes from a pharmacy; some states require a prescription.

You want
3/10 cc (mL)
with half unit markings
short or long needle (I use short)
30 or 31 gauge (needle thiness - higher gauge = thinner)
