Welcome Darlene and Toot.

You have now found the very best place that you never wanted to be, but are so blessed to have found.

How can we help you help Toot? We would love to hear more about you and your wonderful sugarcat.

Just so you know, this is a very managable disease and we can help you and Toot enjoy a long and healthy life together. We would love to help!

Welcome Darlene and Toot!

As you read around the site, you will see that we have had great success getting cats regulated or into remission using a mild long lasting insulin with doses determined by hometesting and feeding wet lo carb food.

We feed wet lo carb under 10%. Here is a website by a vet explaining why it is good for diabetic cats: www.catinfo.org and a food list: Janet and Binky’s chart

We test our cats at home to be sure it is safe to give the amount of insulin we are planning on, and to see how the insulin is working. Here is a video that shows how it is done: Video for hometesting

Read and reread, and ask lots of questions. We would love to help you help Toot!

Greetings Darlene and Toot,
Can you tell us any more about the diagnosis...such as was an insulin prescribed, and if you are currently using it?
Also what you are feeding Toot and if there are any other kitties in your household.
Was testing Toot's blood glucose at home discussed?
We all have and love and care for our sugar kitties relatively easily and inexpensively.
Lori
and tomtom too!
