Not sure where to post this, but for those of us who do a lot of rescue work, this information might be valuable to pass along. Even to those owners who currently have FIV and FeLV cats too.
I found it interesting that Tom tested positive years later. I wonder what the rate is for false negatives? I know working with kittens they can test positive because of the mother's milk and later after being weaned test negative. I had two kittens I fostered that had been condemned to FIV status, but with insisting they be retest 2 months after being separated from their mother, they came up negative.
