Hi Ellen and welcome! I use BD U-100 syringes with half unit markings. When my Ruby was first diagnosed, the vet gave us prescriptions for her insulin and her syringes and so I got them both at the local pharmacy. The next time I ordered then on Amazon where I didn't need a prescription, and then finally I found the best deal on ADWdiabetes.com, who require a prescription but they will call your doctor and their customer service is excellent. Hope this helps!

I used ADW as well. You are likely to need a prescription -- it varies from state to state but the majority of states require a prescription for syringes.

Make sure you get the right syringes -- it depends on. your insulin. Vetsulin/Caninsulin and Prozinc are U40 insulins. The others are U100. The syringe needs to match the concentration of the insulin. Syringes with half unit markings are recommended.

Thank you so much for the advice. He will start taking lantus glandine U-100 size. The vet gave me a prescription so I have that which is good. I will most likely order from ADW.

Thanks again,
Ellen
