new to levemir help

hi my cat sam started levemir today. she was on 4.50 of lantus bid. she became dx in oct 2012. she was not doing well with lantus, always high numbers even when we increased dose. so i switch today, and i gave her 3.25 units of levemir and she has dropped today to 95, my question is should i still give her the 3.25 tonight or do you think that is to much as the shed is not fill yet? a quick response would be great as i have to give her a shot at 9.

Sorry, we don't know where you are so don't know when "9" is.

I would not give that much insulin. I would not give more than 1u tonight.

The reason I say that is you have no date to show how she will react to lev. Until you have the data, better to be on the safe side.

What food do you feed?

What are her numbers, recently?

Sheila she is posting over on health...already shot the full dose but late. I have numbers for the last few cycles in her thread there. Not looking promising on it being a short night either...although so far not dropping like a stone either.
