I have 3 cats and it’s getting difficult feeding them all at the same time with different food. My diabetic cat inhales her food and goes straight for the other food. I’m looking for something all 3 can eat so I don’t have to worry about my diabetic cat eating something she shouldn’t. Any suggestions?
Izzy is 12 and a diabetic
BA is 17
Monkey is 7

Ideally feed all the cats low carb canned food. That way the diabetic cat isn't affected by eating someone else's food.

Some people have to feed their cats separately at meal times so the one piggie isn't inhaling the food and then going to eat someone else's food. Make sure to feed the cats enough food so they're less tempted to eat more than their share. Some people feed enough calories for each of their cat's body weight, generally suggested to be 20 to 25 calories per pound per day.

Can you tell us more about your diabetic cat?

I had the same issue with my two cats. Someone here suggested feeding them the same food. All cats are obligate carnivores. In other words, a cat needs to be on a low carb diet regardless of whether the cat is diabetic. Give both cats the same food.

Long story I took Izzy, BA and Monkey in for a regular check up and told the vet that I thought there was something wrong with Izzy because she wasn’t acting like she usually does. He said she was fine so I took her home. A few days later she was not looking well so I took her to a different vet because I didn’t trust the first one that told me BA was the one that needed more test done. Anyway this next vet was just as bad. Finally I found a vet that didn’t mix up the cats records and actually gave a $#\t. She was caring and explained everything that was being done and what needed to be done. BA and Monkey are healthy BTW.
Izzy is now on 4.5 units of insulin which I think is making her worse. The change of diet(prescription diet) helped her very little and it is getting extremely expensive. She had the freestyle libre which showed her numbers at extremely high levels. Not sure how the prescription diet and insulin are helping Izzy. Honestly I want to take her off the insulin and get her on a new diet. I’m running out of ideas and ways to make her feel better and it is frustrating!!

What insulin is your cat on? Can you put all the pertinent info about your cat in your signature? Instructions are here, at the bottom https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/new-how-you-can-help-us-help-you.216696/

A combo of a low carb diet and insulin works for most cats. You can change the diet now but only very slowly and you must be testing blood glucose levels at home to catch any big drops in levels which can be dangerous especially on 4.5 units of insulin. Prescription food doesn't have any magic ingredient that helps most health issues.
