GA new to fdmb

Hi,
I've just started my cat Edna on insulin, one week ago. I'm trying to find as much info as I can but am feeling overwhelmed. I'm not sure what's what at the moment. I want to do all I can to help her.

Welcome to you and Edna! :) You're at the best place for help and guidance. Please post all your questions over on the main health forum where more people will see them. Include this info that we'll want to know in order to start helping you:

  • Edna's age and date of diagnosis
  • what insulin has been prescribed and in what dose
  • whether you've been taught to test her blood glucose at home and, if so what meter you use
  • what food you give Edna
  • any other health issues, meds she has.
By the way, the "GA" icon is misleading. Many new people think it means "General Advice" or similar when it really means "Gone Ahead" or "Guardian Angel" for kitties who have passed. ;)
