New start for Loki

The syringes with the half unit marks are harder to find. I used the Walmart Relion, if you post on Health others can give you the other syringes that are available out there.
 
Sorry to say that I just did the last check for his +12 and he is at 327 , giving 1 1/2. He also ate at +6 time check so maybe that is why? He is also eating now. Will check this in a short while to see what you guys think. I am somewhat mad at myself for feeding him at his +6 check but he has been more hungry without the dry food available anymore. :oops:
 
It's fine for him to eat during the day; it helps his pancreas. Yes, it may impact his levels,but he needs to eat. :-D

Hard to say whether hitting a blue meant a bounce for pmps or whether it just wasn't enough insulin this am. I think your 1.5 is fine. I would do a before bed check to see how he is trending.
 
Hi, all going to bed it's 20 of 12 midnight here. Just check him and he is at 387 this is 1/2 hr after eating and the 1 1/2 unit. Will set alarm for his +6 at 5AM. I just hope I hear it @-) See you all in the AM.
 
There's nothing wrong with feeding at +6, and it isn't going to cause a higher number six hours later.

We need a way to explain this better on your ss. (It looks like the 290 is your amps and it's really plus +6, right?). Maybe put the 290 on last night's cycle and explain in the box next to it that it's the +6?)

Then this am, put the number you get in the amps and we'll start over? Either that or put an explanation on the line today that 290 is +6. Then start a new line with today's date?

Will this altered schedule work for you or do we need to start getting back to your old one?
 
I think I may have to go back to the old one, he was 8am and 8pm. Just took his first reading for his breakfeast and he is at 341. So 1 1/2 units I think?
 
I think that dose sounds good. Why don't you start a new thread and ask how best to get back on schedule?(It involves shooting a little earlier each shot). I never had to do it; let's ask someone who has.
 
Your other option, if Loki throws a low number at shot time, is to skip a shot, and then just shoot at the time you really want to.
