Hello and welcome. Can you tell me a bit about how Charlie was first diagnosed as a diabetic? Any other medical conditions?

You can also do blood testing on the ear tips with manual blood glucose meters. No shaving needed. More tips here: Hometesting Links and Tips. Is the shaving for a Libre continuous meter? If so, lots of good info here for you: Getting Started With Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs) for Diabetic Cats. Not sure why they shave all around his neck instead of just that back. Thank goodness he's short haired so it should grow back quickly.

I see he's getting a glargine insulin, that's a great one for cats.

The other thing I see is a bag of dry food, which is not so good. Diabetic cats should be fed low carb food, preferably wet or raw. None of the so call prescription dry foods from the vet are suitable for diabetics.
