Hello, I joined today. I actually have a diabetic dog and cat but my cat is overweight and she also has CKD but that's in check. Shorty is my cat, she's 17 and diagnosed this June, she's on Vetsulin insulin, 4units twice a day and she eats Science Diet KD canned chicken or tuna stew

Boy you have your hands full with a diabetic dog too but I guess that made dealing with kitty a little easier as you are already familiar with the basics. Do you home test your dog? Are you home testing Shorty? We strongly advocate home testing here because it gives us much more accurate readings than those obtained in the vet office where cats often have elevated BG levels due to stress. It also helps us ensure its safe to give insulin and keep kitty safe.

Welcome to the forum

This is the link for the Vetsulin/Caninsulin forum. It has not been overly active for awhile but since there are so many new members using this insulin it is becoming more active and updated. It is great to be able to discuss your experiences and questions with other that use the same insulin type as you. You will find some very helpful and knowledgeable people there to help you along with your learning.
