Yes, particularly if it's a new product, manufacturers often infiltrate with their own reviews as if it came from a bona fide customer.
Frankly, I'd be very concerned about a product that has absolutely no reviews on Amazon. Certainly, it would be worth searching for reviews every few weeks, but, unless you are willing for your kitty to be a guinea pig, I would let it go for now (unless your vet has heard of it or someone here has tried it).
