Hello.

my name is Tjaša and I'm coming from Slovenia.

My cat Ador has been diagnosed with diabetes since December 2022.
He is 12 years old, he is on wet foot (food available 20h, just 2h before insulin not)
He has been on Lantus since November 2023. Currently on 1.25F dose.

I am looking for dosing advice. He currently has libre sensor, and I measure his levels with a pet glucose meter before insulin.

He is clearly unregulated and in spreadsheet there are two tabs (one where I put values from glucose meter and other tab where I put values from Libre).

Can someone take a look and suggest what can I do further one.

Thank you in advance.

Hi and Welcome to the Forum, I will tag one of the Lantus expert to help you with dosing, in the meantime you can go to the Lantus Forum and place your concerns as well, below is a link on Lantus for you to review, are you home testing? :bighug::cat::cat:

Welcome to FDMB.

You've been doing a great job managing Ador's diabetes. I'd like to suggest that you take a look at the dosing methods information that I've linked. The post describes the two methods we use for dosing with Lantus. It looks to me like you're holding the dose for too long. The longest you would want to hold a dose is for a week unless your cat is in normal numbers.
