    Just one thing I see that concerns me......last night you didn't get a "before bed" test and I wonder if he dropped fast or dropped lower than his body is used to and that black AMPS was due to a "bounce".

    Bounces happen when 1. they drop too low, 2. they drop too fast, 3. they drop into numbers their body isn't used to anymore (or any combination of all 3).

    The liver releases stored sugars and hormones to bring the blood glucose (BG) up quickly so they "bounce" high. It can take up to 6 cycles for a bounce to clear and you start to see the true test numbers again so it's important not to increase the dose if he's bouncing.

    Now that's a total guess on my part since there isn't any test data for last night but he's never been that high at AMPS before.
