The news reported this morning about a new company that has opened here in Texas. It supplies generic drugs that they purchase directly from the manufacturers without having to pay pharmacy prices.

They showed on the news that cancer drugs and cholesterol drugs that cost people hundreds if dollars a month can be had for under one dollar for a month's supply. The name of the company is SCRIPTCO. Their phone number is 888-201-0334. They do ship prescriptions. You can call their pharmacy and tell them the name of the drug you are taking. They will give you the generic name and the price. They make their money buy charging a yearly fee of $140. I make most of that up on one vial of Lantus. The generic insulin for Lantus is Basaglar. Right now, I pay $100. With this company, I will pay $21.

Have you checked GoodRx for local pharmacy discount? I did just get my first vial of 10ml Lantus U100 for $57.00. Also if they ship hopefully the would make sure it was kept at appropriate temperature especially during the hot summer. Thanks for this info!

How did you get it so cheap using GoodRX? When I tried, the cheapest I could get it was $300.

I suspect every area is a bit different. What
State or zip to you live in? I used the GoodRX coupon for a Harris Teeter grocery store pharmacy. I live in the Raleigh, North Carolina area.

I live in Southern California. Everyone kept telling me that in order to fill the script, the GoodRX coupon only applies towards humans, not pets. Even when I tried to get the coupon from the website, it asked me if it was for humans or pets.

Some stores have pet restrictions and some do not. It also changes periodically.
This lists $80 for 5 pines of generic Glargine which is NOT Semglee or Basengerlar.
Even if you click on the $108 with pet restriction it list $131 for pet and other excluded by restriction.

Thank you! I am a newbie here with Lantus/Glargine. Could you refer me to a link if there is one that explains the difference between Lantus, Semglee or Basengerlar. Thanks!

I order frozen food for my cat. They pack it in dry ice. I assume they would do something similar but you could call them and ask.

Lantus, Semglee, and Basaglar are all biosimilar glargine insulins. The FDA has deemed Semglee to be an interchangeable produce for Lantus. Announcement here.

How does it work with GoodRX? We are getting a script for Lantus and I see it at CVS for $194. Do I just print it out and show it to the pharmacist?

Also, has anyone used the Lantus savings card? I called and they said it's not for pets but my pharmacist said he'd try. It's $99, so i was wondering if anyone has used it.

Here is a coupon below
Just call any pharmacy to see if they have the 5 pens, they will last you a year or more
Type in where you live and you will see where you can buy it
Lantus is expensive if you live in the US

Semglee, it is a generic Lantus, and was approved by the FDA last June.
Some have their vet write the prescription as insulin glargine

Yes I just showed the pharmacist the coupon on my phone. I found it for $60 for 10ml vial at one of our grocery stores. Most other pharmacies were $100 and up.

@Diane Tyler's Mom - Have you had an issue filling the Lantus with the GoodRX card? It states that it is not for pets. :(

Also curious if anyone started with Lantus and then started using the Semglee? Do you see a difference?

We tried asking our local pharmacist to try the savings card from Lantus and he said he tried and it won't work.

If you click on Get free discount then click on I do not qualify. Show me other option you get a another window with price good for pets. This is for CVS where restricted price is $103 and non-restricted price is $132.

Some places like Harris Teeter does not have any restrictions and price is only $80
