Just to give everyone a little back history for anyone who may be curious on miss Holley...
She had a pretty rough go. She was found by a friend of mine at 8 weeks old with maggots inside of her vagina. I was a vet tech at the time so we brought her in. Got all that cleared up and i brought her home, was only supposed to be a foster. The next night she tanked, brought her back in and her BG was through the roof...like 600. It was a whirlwind trying to learn how to dose a kitten so small. The dr ended up "making" her insulin using a short acting insulin diluted with saline. so she was getting poked every two hours for about 3 weeks. once she was a bit bigger we put her on a low dose of vetsulin. about 6 months later she had some catnip and she became catatonic, was hospitalized for 3 days on deaths door. Aside from that, here we are over 2 years later and shes thriving minus being a diabetic.
