My cat, whose name is Sushi, was diagnosed with diabetes about 1 week ago. He is a young domestic cat I adopted last year, yet I have a huge affection for him. I came across this forum while searching for feline diabetes.

Hoping I can learn lots from here and support my cat as much as possible.

As a new member, you're going to be asked to do several things that will help the experts here provide assistance. They are very numbers driven here, which is great! You will want to learn how to test Sushi's blood at home so you have an idea what is going on in that little body. You'll need a blood glucose meter and supplies.

Has Sushi been prescribed insulin yet? What kind, how much, and how often is the dose?


What are you feeding and how often?


How old is Sushi? Any other health issues?
