Hi Everyone,
I’m Lisa, from Florida, mom to 6 awesome kitties. One of our males was diagnosed with diabetes last night. My daughter is interning (vet assistant) at a local emergency vet. We took Hawx in last night for blood work, he has classic signs of diabetes (weight loss, thirst, hunger). His blood work confirmed it. Ironically, I had just started giving canned food more often, which he loves. Vet sent home Vetsulin with my daughter, but I want to make sure we are monitoring him appropriately before beginning treatment. I’ve been researching extensively. I need to get a monitor, and we’re trying to figure out a 12 hour schedule. I’m grateful for the information here. Will work on the spreadsheet later this evening.
