New here and need some advice

Hello,
I have a sugar cat called Dumdum, he had diabetes for almost one and half year.
We control his glu by vet's instruction before, and it's more like in "RELAXED" way. But few days ago he was hypoglycemia, and that frightened me. I started tight regulation.
From that time till today, We still can't find out how many unit will be fine for him. He looks so tired today, and that make me sad. I don't know what should I do next, so I come here and hope I can get some advice. I am from Taiwan, and in our country, there is no such enough information can get.

I've already change his food to canned food for more than one year, and already read some documents here.

If you are going to use the Tight Regulation (TR) protocol I'd recommend that you post there. Change your subject line to "? DOSE AIKILO HYPO FEW DAYS AGO. PLEASE PUT THE TYPE OF INSULIN YOU ARE USING IN YOU POST. Some of the experts should be on soon. When they see the ? They'll know you need help. If your situation changes to an emergency before someone gets back to you replace the ? In the subject line with the 911 icon but we only use the 911 in an emergency.

Lots of information here to read over.

Using a human glucometer:
< 50 = HYPO - Follow Hypo instructions to save your cat's life.
- also, dose reduction earned

< 50, before nadir (lowest point between shots) = Steer numbers with food to prevent hypo
- also, dose reduction earned for new diabetics

50 - 150 = really good numbers for a diabetic

> 240 = exceeds the renal threshold, glucose spilling into urine.

Yes I'm using Lantus, and I've read stickys. Although I am not sure I really understand all of them (I'm sorry that English is not my mother language). I'll try hard to get it, and I think I'm ready.

Today's high numbers are what's called a "bounce," where Dumdum's body reacted to the low BG number from the night before by spilling out excess sugar to bring his numbers up from that 28.

On 4/24, you recorded a 28 for Dumdum's +4. This is considered hypo territory, as BJM mentioned above. Any time he drops below 50, it is considered a mandatory reduction. For example, on 4/13, he dropped too low during his AM and you decreased his dose at PM, but he still dropped too low and his dose should have been reduced further. Although you did reduce the dose after the 4/24 incident, it was only from 1.10u to 1u. I would have decreased it even further to perhaps 0.5 or 0.75u and I highly recommend you decrease his next dose since it looks like he's been dropping too low for a while. The higher numbers that made you think he keeps needing increases are most likely being caused from bouncing.
