Hi!! I've used DRONTAL for yrs on multiple cats to kill intestinal parasites all at 1x. It's generally VERY SAFE, even during pregnancy. My sweet DITĒ (short 4 Aphrodite) is a 12-yr-old, spayed, female ADSH (dark Torbie) w IBS & Hyperesthesia. She began having multiple, very mild, 4-6 second seizures w/o typical seizure presentation (or usual diabetic symptoms)...just going limp. We've been CONTROLLING her Diabetes for several days now w dietary changes & multiple feedings 24hrs/day. I know eliminating parasites ASAP is ESSENTIAL for her nutrition/health. She's alert, acting normally, eating, drinking, loving on me, & is at a good weight. I'm just terrified of causing her to seize again, & wondering if I should treat the roundworms & tapeworms separately. ANY1??

When did the mild seizures begin? What do the vets think is causing these siezures?
Are you giving any medication for the seizures?
When was she diagnosed with feline diabetes?
Do you know if the vet checked for ketones at diagnosis?
It sounds as if you are not giving any insulin at the moment, is that correct?

If you are not giving insulin yet, we are not vets here and can’t/shouldn’t advise you in deworming products or timing and whether they can cause seizures. I’d suggest you get her to your vet immediately.
We are here to help you with her diabetes in any way we can. Are you hometesting to know her diabetes is controlled with just diet? If she’s eating, drinking, and acting normal, it’s unlikely she has ketones but you should still check them each day using urine ketone strips especially if her blood glucose is not within the normal range of 50-100 on a human meter.
