Quite awhile ago we took mocha to the vet for having some light pinkness to her eye, in the very corner (outer edge) where it would normally be bright white .. she's had this pinkness for so long we are just used to seeing it .. she also tends to get a lot of eye gunk in that eye, dried eye boogies each morning ... The vet gave us eye drops called Neomycin & Poly Dex (5 ml drops) but we never used them. At the time, she used a dye to see if mocha's eye was scratched, but it wasn't .. I guess that's just the way she's made!
Well the last week or so her eye boogies have been quite wet, and more frequent .. for about a day she was keeping her eye closed but once we started wiping it down with a warm cloth the next day it appeared to be more open .. it's open all the time now, but occasionally she is getting eye boogies that are wet ..
I tested her last night and her bg's were at 50 (diet controlled) so she doesn't seem to be strongly affected by the eye gunk ... but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these drops and if they seem like a good thing to use? She isn't rubbing at her eye, and she is keeping it open all the time .. so I'm wondering if we should just leave her be for a few more days, or try the drops?
