Nefeli 2.5 years p-L (post-Lantus) relapse?

Hi all,
2.5 years after OTJ with the help of this group and Lantus, Nefeli is again in the 200+... I posted to the main forum, but if anyone has had similar experience after Lantus, please have a look viewtopic.php?f=28&t=69326&p=753998&hilit=+FIP#p753998 -any advice is appreciated!

Sorry I don't have any advice as I am pretty new to LL myself. I foster Mikey and he's just been with me 4 months and will be off insulin only 1 month next week.

I'm curious, what made you test Nefeli again? I get so nervous that Mikey will relapse, especially because he gets into the dry food i have for my other cats a few times.

I would be looking for a urinary tract infection....you'll need the vet to do a cystocentesis for that....not a free catch. I'd also get those teeth checked out really well. And absolutely no dry food unless she is anorexic or not eating well and won't eat anything else. You don't want her to develop DKA if she has an infection, has high BG, and is not eating.

Thanks, we are scheduled to go to the vet on Saturday and do the suggested tests... she looks quite well actually, but still tested 300+...
