I agree wholeheartedly with Wendy on all her points. I also want to point out that there is no such thing as”modified SLGS”.
As members using SLGS gather plenty of data on their kitty and, as Wendy said, understand their cat’s onset, nadir, duration and how they respond to food, they might want to tailor SLGS to their cat’s needs. The guidelines suggest the best way to approach dosing but since ECID, there might be instances where, based on data and the CG’s knowledge of their cat, there is room for tweaking as long as the margins of safety are observed.
For those not following TR or SLGS as written, it’s best to put “individualized dosing; do not copy” in their signature instead of “modified TR” or “modified SLGS”.
Sarah....I know it’s a challenge to learn all the posting guidelines we have here but we do one condo per cat per day so all of your questions, no matter what they are, would have been better to go on the other condo you have for today.
