Lyresa, do you have any Forti Flora at your house? If not, and if you're interested, you can get it through PetFoodDirect.com at least, or hopefully someplace close to you. It'll help with the diarrhea. Here's the information on the back of the box:

(((hugs)) I did not realize KT was feeling so lousy lately, I would have stopped by sooner and added in my get well thoughts and prayers! I hope today is a better day for the both of you, with a strong appy and firm poopies!!!!

We're no different today - marching to the same tune as yesterday. Liquid poop that smelled to high heaven, refusing to eat - I'm syringe feeding again this morning. He DID start licking it from the spoon after a while - we got 1/4th can of Hills A/D down plus a full dose of probiotics.
We keep plugging along but we're all exhausted...

Do you have access to a holistic store? I have used slippery elm bark powder very successfully for liquipoo. I might have given you the info before....I don't remember. It calms the intestines. It won't make him eat but it is nutritive.
If you can get pure SEB powder (you don't need much...maybe buy 1/8 cup), put 1 tsp of SEB powder in 1/2 cup spring water and warm gently over low flame until just a bit thicker. Pour into a glass jar. When it cools, administer 5 mls bid via syringe. If you are giving oral meds of any kind, give the SEB one hour before or two hours after the meds.

I just caught up on what's going on with KT and I too just want to send many prayers and healing vines that your baby just keeps on eating and licking that food off the spoon.. Come on KT.... eat sweetheart!!

HE'S EATING!!! It's not much but he came out and ASKED! It's HC ckn/gravy - only about half a little can with about same amt of water added but he CHOSE to eat!!! OH I'm DANCING quietly so I won't disturb him....
Taking him to vet tmw am for another blood panel to see if it shows anything now.
Sienne, Vet's response when we talked - "I don't know what else I can do...".

I'm giving him pancreatic enzymes - this is the third day. Everything I've read says it may take a week for the diarrhea to quit??

With the enzymes you need to find the right dose for the diarrhea to stop. How much are you giving him per can of food? What kind are they?
Also are you giving B12 shots?

about 3/4th 5oz can Hills a/d
plus
about 1 1/3can total Fancy Feast gravy foods.

Giving one 'scoop'. It says one 'scoop' per 24 hours theraputic dose, 1/2 'scoop' maintenance. It doesn't say anything about the amount of food. The 'scoop' looks to be about a teaspoon. B12 shot tomorrow at vet.

He actually came to the kitchen to EAT this morning! He's eaten close to a half of a 5oz can of Friskies Ckn Prime Fillets - yep it has gravy but that's the least of the worries right now! Luckily that gravy food doesn't affect his numbers much.
I've GOT to go to work for a while today - I've skipped the last 2 days, I know my little neighbor lady is getting irritated....
Vet's blood machine is down, they're expecting people to work on it this morning.... :-x

How is the poo looking? Have you found the SEB? Any health food store or vitamin shop should have it. If you can't find it I can send you some. I also have an extra jar of Pet Dophilus (pet probiotic).

POO! This morning there was half liquid, HALF FORMED!!!! He's only gone once this morning but even that's an improvement - he's been visiting at least twice by now. Here's the enzymes I'm giving him - I mix with water and syringe straight as I want to be sure he get's a whole dose:

uhhhh....PEADOODLE...then he's NOT getting them...but when I started reading different sites concerning pancreatic enzymes, I found those at links saying it was. Even that kind so I thought I was doing good...NOT GOOD MAMABEAN! NOT GOOD! :cry: :cry:

I couldn't find SEB, could order it but didn't have it. I'm sure there's some little place within this 40 mile area that has all kinds of stuff but they don't advertise so I can't find them. There is a huge percentage of people here that don't even have a computer. :roll:

A lot of cat people use the enzymes from www.enzymediane.com, they are cheap and no prescription and seem to work. I use them 50/50 with the ones I get from my vet. Get the pancreatin 6x and start with 1/4tsp per cup of canned and work up till poops are normal. He will need them in every meal for the rest of his life.

I believe I found the Mercola enzymes at a local Vitamin Shoppe store here in Columbus, OH. Check at our shopping partner Amazon.
And giving the probiotic may have helped, too. (You've seen all the comercials for humans, right? Activia, Phillips Colon Health, etc?)
