Does anyone know where I can get Lantus on line with out a prescription for under $100??? The vet I had was very bad and I am still looking for a new one and I know they will want to do all the test over again and I can not afford that at this moment. Any and all help will be appreciated.

The only place I know of is to try Craig's List. I'd check the Supply Closet on FDMB, as well. You can try contacting Diabetic Cats in Need (DCIN). Occasionally, they will have Lantus that's been donated.

If you can get a prescription, if you call around in your area, you may be able to find a pharmacy (Sam's Club, Costco, or a local hospital pharmacy) that will sell you individual Lantus pens. An individual pen will cost around $40.

Unfortunately, Lantus costs over $100 no matter where you live. Even the 10 ml bottle costs over $100. Some people buy their Lantus from online Canadian pharmacies but it still costs over $100. As Sienne suggsted, you may be able to purchase a single Lantus SoloStar pen from a pharmacy for around $40. Call around and ask. I would be wary of Craig's List. There are lots of scammers there. if you do find Lantus available there, make sure that it is in the original packaging (10 ml bottle or SoloStar pen) and be sure to check the expiration date printed on the Lantus bottle or pen and on the box before you hand over any money. Have you checked with Diabetic Cats In Need?

We purchased lantus on craigslist a few times .. We always had good experience and yes, the pens were always in the original boxes .. we got a 5 pack box once for $40.00 ..

Gary-
we live in Denver near DTC. would you be able to come up here? We could meet on the south end of town by Park Meadows if you'd like.

Fur Ball went OTJ and we still have his vial of Lantus. We bought it on 9/5/12 and it has been stored in our fridge so I would imagine it is still good. Almost a full bottle we would gladly donate to you. We can't mail it as it is the vial and needs to stay refrigerated.

Please let us know.
