So sorry to hear you're having such a difficult time. You've been so supportive of me I wish I could offer advice, but all I can do is offer :bighug: and positive thoughts. You and Squallie, as well as your other fur babies are in my prayers. January is almost over, February will bring better times.

I think my new vet's main problem is the human glucometer, he really can't wrap his head around that.
I know you're not on Lantus at the moment, but I wonder whether it might help if you showed him a copy of the published Roomp-Rand tight regulation study. That really focuses on the use of human glucometers for the safe management of cats on long-acting insulins. It would give you scientific, peer-reviewed evidence that they're OK to use.
