Okay so home testing was dome this morning she was an absolute champ. Her bg is 5.5mmol am I to still give her the medication or ring the vets and ask for advise? As I don't want her going to low.

Been to the vets this morning they didn't ask to see ivy it was just me! They were pretty harsh and adminent she should be on senvelgo as that's what the rescue wants. Feeling like I've got no choice I went with the senvelgo.

Update rung the vets they weren't much help got to wait for them to contact me. It's past her medicating time now so I'm worried on what to do, the rescue told me she had her last bexacat yesterday morning it was crushed into her food but didn't eat all her food.

Unfortunately, if an organization is paying for the care, you may not have a choice as to which medication is being used. I don't know if you saw our post that discusses the newer treatment options. There's a discussion of Bexacat and Senvelgo. There's also recommendations on how your cat will need to be followed and what to look out for. I don't know if there will be a substantial difference between the two drugs. They are both SGLT-2 inhibitors. I would call the manufacturer of Senvelgo and explain your situation and ask if you can make an immediate switch or if you need to wait for the Bexacat to clear your cat's system.
