I'm trying to understand why Fistuk has diarrhoea and how to clean him.

Since I've changed his food to wet once he's had a quite pasty stool. It's not runny but quite soft.

I understand that the chicken tips I cook for him is not a complete food and I'm working on getting the recipe right. I've added to his food in the meantime the Yarrah tins. I give him the broth from the chicken to lick. It keeps him well hydrated but it might be the reason that contributes to the diarrhoea.

I added a bit of psyllium husk to his food yesterday but it didn't seem to be enough so I gave him a bit more in the morning and even more in the evening. I go slow so he doesn't get constipated. I've read somewhere that you can mix the psyllium directly with the food but given the diabetes, I'm afraid it'll dehydrate him so I first mix it with water to soak and add a teaspoon from the glass to his food.

The problem also is that when he has diarrhoea his behinds get very mucky. Just using wet wipes doesn't clean him properly. So I wash his butt under the tap. Yesterday evening was the second diarrhoea so the second wash and that was just too much for him. It got him so exhausted and stressed that he'd just lay down on the floor. My heart just broke. When this evening he had another very soft stool I cleaned him a bit with wipes and wet cotton and just let him be. I couldn't exhaust him like that again.

I'd love to learn also if you know of any cream I could apply on his privates. It looks a bit swollen perhaps from all the diarrhoea.

Thank you!

I was told by my vet once to dip the wipes in warm water and clean their butt that way. I would sometimes put Minnie in the sink when she hag soften herself too messy because it was easier to have her in one spot without moving, but I would still use the wipes I had in a bowl worn warm water instead of running the faucet.

is he getting S Boulardii probiotics? It’s really good to regulated their GI tract but it takes a few weeks to start working.

Thanks! I'll try that.

I've given him some but wasn't consistent. I probably should be more consistent.
Not the type you've mentioned though. What I was able to get at the pharmacy here.

I should have probably mentioned also that he was given antibiotics at the hospital and that always messes him up.

I found this that I can order from Germany:
