Had urinalysis done today white blood cell count is high so they gave me biomox antibiotic liquid. Told me
1 1/2 ml 2x a day? Does that sound right and has anyone ever used it?

2nd her AMPS was 345. I got her urine sample just about the same time. Her glucose tested 500 in the urinalysis. Why the difference. Was negative for ketones.
Any help would be great. I always get an opinion from the group. Don't have a lot of faith in the vet.

When looking at blood and urine glucose levels you're not comparing apples with apples; the blood glucose sample is a 'real-time' snapshot of how high glucose levels are in the body at the time of the test whereas the urinalysis result gives an indication of how much glucose spilled over into the urine since the last time your kitty had a pee (probably a period of several hours).

Thanks. I always like to get a second opinion from you guys before I do anything the vet says.
It probably was several hours because I got the first urine of the morning

So I just talked to Chris and China on Facebook and this med contains sucrose. Not sure what to do now. Has anyone used this on there sugar baby

Since that med and many other meds are just human meds repackaged for vet use many pet meds contain sweeteners and flavor (yours is cherry). I have given similar, sweetened meds without problems. It will raise BG a little but there is not that much sucrose in 1 1/5 ml

Thanks. I was ready to call the vet and freak out on her. Going to start it in the morning which is also curve day. I will keep a close eye

my vet gave me the liquid that like yours has sugar in it and it raised the bg-- I prefer pills so I got another script it was just a little more time consuming to get the right dose .... it is temporary but my guy is not good for liquid --with a pill I know it is in or out! LOL:bighug:
