Tigers numbers have been dropping all afternoon despite eating twice. 30 mis ago he 163, now he is the same. Due for shot in 30 mins.

Most of the day he kept asking for food. Unusual for him. He usually sleeps most of the day. After His last food at 5:30 he finally went to sleep. Not sure how to handle next shot?

So flat….are you able to keep an eye out for a few hours tonight and intervene with higher carb if necessary? If you can, like I said you’ve shot similar numbers before. The 200 suggested BG value is for those who are new to the main forum and haven’t collected much in the way of data.

When we shot before he actually went down to 35 during the night. I had told the vet he had low numbers that day and she actually wanted us to go up to 2.5 despite the numbers. I slept through it and scared me to death when I saw it the next morning . That was Saturday and when I first came on here. Looking for advice. I am afraid the same would happen tonight….
Poor Tiger, his mom is not good at this…..

If he was bouncing the last two days, is this what happens after the bounce?
If I skip shot tonight, what about the morning dose?

Take a look at pm cycle of Dec 14th…you shot 177 and numbers didn’t drop. The Libre has been known to read incorrectly “low”. Which is why it’s suggested to spot check with a human meter when you get readings like that. With Lantus I’d often check at +2 since it would tend to be a good indication of how the cycle might go, and if lower, I’d feed higher carbs and keep a closer eye on the cycle. But it’s up to you and how you feel about shooting tonight.

Yes, you can sometimes get bounce breaking which gives you later nadirs in a cycle. If you choose to skip or do a reduced dose tonight, you’d still shoot 1.75u tomorrow morning. He hasn’t earned a reduction, which would be by going under 90 following the SLGS dosing guideline.

Can you add that to the spreadsheet? I’m assuming you skipped right? As Christie said, you go back to the regular dose tomorrow since he didn’t earn another reduction.

I will add now. I went ahead and fed him and it went up to 191. Scaring me he is this low with no insulin. Yes I skipped. What should number be to give dose in the morning?
