Just as I was planning to up Hannah's dose within the next couple of days, her morning AMPS was 200 -- best number she's had in quite a while. Didn't shoot, fed her morning meal (which she ate enthusiastically, as she's still feeling the effects of Mirtazapine), took her BG 2 hours later, and it had risen to 271. Still didn't shoot, because knew it was likely going up from her food intake. Left the house for a few hours. Before doing so, pulled her food so I could test upon returning home. At the time of my return, 2:00 PM, she was at 286, so gave her 0.2U to tide her over, thinking I would test in another 8 hours (10:00 PM) to see if I would be able to shoot another reduced amount by then. If she is clearly rising at 10:00 PM, after no food, I will do so. My question is: What amount should I give? I am sure it should depend on her BG number at that point. I am hoping some of you ProZinc experts can guide us through this, as Hannah has had quite a week and I don't want to make it worse. Thank you!
Edit: Just took her BG at +3 (5:00 PM), after food about an hour ago, and it was holding steady at 286.
