need dosing help!

Gave Janiebird .3 Lantus (yes, we're on that baord) at 8 p.m. -- at +12, she was 40, so no shot this morning. But three hours later, she's 511.

What? How? Why? Huh?

Ideas, suggestions and mojitos needed.
 
Kris, ya gotta shoot low to stay low. what happened was BIPO and shed is empty.
if ya would have shot that 40, you would have overlap and would have kept numbers down. I would shoot the .3 to bring this # down and then do a dosecrease to .2 or .1 and test
 
well, you see what happened by waiting. to the moon janie, to the moon. so obviously after +12 she zooms or you could have tested every 15 min and was sure she was going up, then shoot your .3 or a reduced dose. that is what I would have done.
she is definitely wanting to go OTJ and a lot of this could be rebound. drop the dose
 
What is your shooting schedule? Was 8pm your PM shot time?

Maybe you should just try 2 drops (that is about 0.1U). I know you are working on trying to figure out the right dose for Jane.
 
right now I would say regardless unless she is giving you consistant normal readings and then try OTJ but at least .1u would allow you to shoot BID and not really worry about a hypo
