NEED DOSING HELP IN NEXT 1/2 HOUR PLEASE

I have increased Hershey's does to 1.0 x 2 from .75 x 2. His numbers have been averaging high 200's, so I thought a slight increase may help his numbers come down. He has also had to deal with our new kitty Jezzy, so may be a bit stressed. Tonight test is 199, not sure if this is a bounce or what. I will wait 20 min and test again. Any advice would be appreciated.

I think it's hard to say without having those mid-cycle numbers (I understand how hard it can be to get those with a full-time job!). I'm thinking go with your gut for now. .75 looks like it will be fine if you're not comfortable giving the regular dose.

So sorry, Judy! I think Djamila is right...your dose was fine.

Is there any way you can get some mid cycle numbers soon? On the weekend, or even setting an alarm to get some at night? Without those, we can't really help bring the numbers down since we don't know WHAT the insulin is doing. We need to know how low Hershey is going or if he is surfing along in yellows all day.

Hi, Judy. Have nothing more to add here, except to encourage you to get some of those mid-cycle tests in as soon as you can as, recommended by Djamila & Rachel above. That really will help you so much in fine-tuning Hershey's dosage. (I know it can be tough to do when you're working outside the home full-time, too --- so am sending some positive high-energy vibes just for you!:bighug:)

Also agree with the above regarding getting a mid-cycle reading. It is great to see yellows but am wondering how low Hershey is going. Any chance you can get some tests before you go to bed or setting an alarm for a quick test?
