Hi Everyone,
We just had an updated fructose test for Simba. we did one a couple months ago when he was on prozinc. at the time, they said the test results were good, it was approx 356 i believe. and this was when he was on the dry food.
i finally got him eating wet food and we are using the merricks brand before grain chicken, beef or turkey. mainly chicken though. sometimes he will eat the cowboy cookout but mainly the chicken. anyway, then we switched to levemir b/c i was afraid of the shortage and i had read on here that so many people were doing well w/the leveimir.
so then we got another test b/c our goal is to go down to 1x a day for the insulin. right now we are at 1 unit, 2x a day.
so the results came back this morning at 476. however it was only the receptionist that gave me the # and said the dr would call on monday b/c he was out. but she said it was high and just the tone didnt make me feel good.
i guess what is your opinion? b/c the #'s are so much higher, do you think it is possible to go down to 1x a dday? and if not what have i done wrong? i've put him on the wet food, changed his insulin and so on.
thanks1
