Okay, well, I'm TRYING to get the spreadsheet copied in but the instructions aren't very clear so I put a note in the tech support forum. Will see what the response is and go from there.

So anyhoo, here's a rundown of where Long John's at the past few days:
Saturday 11/29 = 137 (1U) / 106 / 143 / -- (1U)
Sunday 11/30 = 134 (1U) / 195 / 200 / 181 (1U)
Monday 12/1 = 154 (1U) / 102 / -- / 96 (1U)
Tuesday 12/2 = 120 (1U) / 125 / 133 / 139 (1U)
Wednesday 12/3 = 134 (1U)

I've sent the vet the spreadsheet a couple times now and am not really getting any response. His numbers are starting to come down and stay somewhere in the normal range, right? I'm using the ReliOn and still a little confused on how to apply the difference between the human numbers and feline.

Should I be giving the insulin if the numbers are normal? Will publish the spreadsheet when I get some answers on that.

When were the BGs taken with respect to the shot?
For the first one I suspect 173 was before the shot. The convention is to
AMPS am preshot
+ V abd the BG where X is the timne after the shot
PMPS PM preshot

What insulin?
How long on insulin?
Typically one does not give insulin with those lowish Preshots unlrss yo have experinece. However, you are not seeing a large drop or rise by giving one unit

Larry, did you transpose the numbers (something I do all the time)? You said 173 for first shot and what I put was 137.
I understand AMPS/PMPS but I have no idea what you mean with "+V abd..."

For each day I listed, the BG right before the dosage in () is AMPS and PMPS. Each BG reading in between those is +8 hrs and +10 hrs. Does that help?

The insulin is Lantus and he's been on it since 11/18.

I did hear from the vet and we're both highly encouraged by these numbers. It's looking VERY good as far as being a temporary situation for poor Long John. The vet said to keep giving the 1U. He'll be going in for a recheck in a couple weeks.

Still trying to get the SS loaded in.
