OK I'm confused as to why it seems the Prozinc is not lasting the 12 hours and Fritz numbers are going back up.
Wondering if I keep going with the 3.5 or?

Has anything changed lately, Deb? (Feeding, things that might stress Fritz out, medications, etc?)

No it all started after he went into the greens and I dropped him to 2 units and then this mess started. I tried to think of anything else, I started giving him the Zobaline that shouldn't affect him should it?
I have slowly worked him back up to the 3.5 units. I'm puzzled he was doing so good.....:banghead:

Ok. Well ... I know this is frustrating, Deb.:banghead: But it may take him a while to settle back down; you know what the saying is: "Cats bounce until they stop." (Which, of course, does not help your stress level any, I know.) If it's any consolation at all, I'm feeling pretty frustrated with Bat-Bat lately, too ... believe me, this dinky-dosing gets really OLD after a while; I just wish she'd get OFF the #@%!!!@&#!!!! juice already! (Doesn't help that it suddenly got HOT as blazes here, either ... I do not handle heat well, so the mama-bean is turning into a really cranky old lady.)

I will be thinking good thoughts, for you & Fritz, though ... and if at all possible, you might want to try to get some mid-cycle #s in his day cycle tomorrow - that might help you see a little more of what could be going on.:bighug:

Deb it is the Zobaline with the "Z" right? The same company makes another with an "X" and it has sugar in it..... wish I could help more, but thats all I can think of :(

@Robin&BB I appreciate you taking the time to brain storm with me.
We'll keep going Ill get some tests in tonight. I have to go to work with tomorrow.
Come on Bat-Bat work the juice so mama bean can have a break.
I understand its really hard to regulate our sugar kitties. So patience pants it is .

@Sarah Smith yes it is with the Z.
Hows Cooter doing?
Fritz was moving in the right direction then wham something happened and its like where starting all over. :banghead::banghead::confused:

Im going to try and add 1 meal of LC FF cuz I have been feeding him only homemade rabbit. I wonder if having no carbs is making the #'s higher?
Can't hurt.....

add 1 meal of LC FF
DO you mean "substitute" one meal FF? (I don't think that no carbs would make his #s climb, but who knows? Maybe that rabbit is speeding his #s in the direction you don't want?) Stranger things have happened ... and as I've never fed Bat rabbit myself, I wouldn't really know.

Sorry Deb, figured it was, but couldnt hurt to ask just in case. I almost bought the wrong one until someone pointed out the difference in them. I know you'll get Fritz back on track, just wish I knew more to help figure out whats happening with him!

Cooters doing great, which is a blessing because now I'm dealing with my hyperthyroid girl not eating enough and not keeping alot of it down, shes down to 5.5 lbs between that and trying to get her dose straightened out again... From one crisis to another around here lately :(

Sorry to hear that ... sending lots of healing vibes for your girl, with fingers crossed that her tummy starts keeping her food where it belongs.:bighug:

Deb, you've gotten some decent numbers. There are some blues and yellows in there. I do think you might up the dose a smidge on the pinks and see if he drops more. I like the 3.5 on the yellows.

Yep, I think its time for a small increase. After all, looking over the SS, there are some nice numbers in there. I don't know why Fritz suddenly started running higher, but heck, it could be anything. Could be the heat (I know it's getting miserable here and sometimes my kitties get a bit lethargic in heat).

Deb, I saw a thread on Health. A couple people noticed their cats seemed to run higher on no carb food than when it was mixed with lower carb....

It may be that the lower carb foods are higher in fat. Fat also raises your blood sugar but because it digests slower than carbs the spike happens later. I know this from watching my mom adjust her dose if she's eating a high fat meal. http://blog.joslin.org/2011/09/why-does-fat-increase-blood-glucose/

Too bad I can know this stuff but can't figure out the right dose for my cats. :banghead:
