Milo has been eating only canned but since he got pancreatitis I can't get him to eat enough so I tried adding 1/8th cup to 1/4th cup of Evo dry and after 2 weeks it still hasn't affected his blood sugar. So I go to buy more but forgot about the recall. I know the other low kinds are Nature's Variety and Wellness Core but there were so many Nature's Variety I went with Wellness. Once I got home I saw it was 11% carbs so I don't even want to try it.
So my question is the carb counts on the specific kinds of Nature's Variety. I see they have the basic dry food but also the Raw Boost that includes freeze dried. And with the basic dry food they also have limited ingredient ones that don't contain fish. Do all the basic dry flavors have similar carbs? I've tried searching but I can't find specific kinds. I would like to avoid fish since it can cause pancreatitis flare ups but I just need a backup dry food until Evo is back on the shelf.
I might try the Young Again but I will run out of Evo before it gets here.
And I know dry food is the devil but even with meds he will not eat enough canned and I have tried everything. The stress of it is killing me. He happily eats the dry food even when he is nauseous and it's not affecting his blood sugar so I will continue but with a limited amount.
