Oh, how I wish I had a better camera, and that I had it on me all the time. I just saw this moments ago from my front porch...

Carl I couldn't tell either until you said what it was. I can see it now. Not sure a regular camera would have been any better. The fox is moving.
You always share the prettiest & coolest photos.

Very cool Carl. We photograph a lot at the beach in Delaware. Although due to insulin shots we go by ourselves now. I’ll prob go in the fall. Tom was just down again last week and he has noticed an increase in the amount of fox.

We are seeing red ones tho, don’t know that we’ve ever seen a grey one. Here is the last blog post he made from Delaware. If you scroll all the way down you’ll see the fox...

Beautiful:-)
How far was the camera from the fox?
I went to the dutchgetto blog earlier after the post you made about Asher's page. Y'all do incredible things with a camera, Donna.
We don't have reds here, and only started seeing greys on this island about 4 years ago. I think they were introduced by a well-meaning wildlife rehabber, but not sure. Their only predator here would be gators, so they've multiplied pretty quickly. That was the first time I've seen one in the yard since I moved to this cabin.

He was shooting with the 500mm that day, and the fox got so close he had to stop shooting because it went closer than the minimum focus on that long lens (closer than 16 feet is out of focus). They seem incredibly tame. These were shot near Bombay Hook if I remember correctly.

28 years ago used to see red fox out here all the time (East End of Long Island) and a few gray fox from time to time - than saw them but they all looked mangy and skinny than for a long time didn't see any now the red fox are back again - looking healthy. Not sure what it's all about but like seeing them.
