Hi all. My neighbor was trying to be nice and brought me a can of Natural Value cat food (Red Meat Tuna in Jelly topped with crab). I know nothing about this brand.

Help?

Ingredients
Red meat tuna, shrimp, carrageenan, choline chloride, vitamin E supplement, zinc sulfate, riboflavin supplement, niacin, manganese sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin A supplement, taurine, menadione sodium bisulfite complex, vitamin B-12 supplement, pyridoxin hydrochloride, calcium pantothenate, vitamin D3 supplement, potassium iodie, biotin supplement, folic acid, sodium selenite

It's low carb (most foods in jelly/aspic are) but since it's fish based it should only be fed once in awhile.

It looks like the brand has other fish and non-fish based varieties. I took a look at a few fish ones and they all seem to be in jelly. Most of the non-fish ones contain flour and other carb sources.

And carrageenan may be a problem for cats with touchy stomachs - it can act as an irritant.
