Kit, my no sugar cat, has red bumps near his bottom. Took him to the vet & he doesn't know
what it's from. He put a collar on kit(he loved that!) & told me to put animax ointment on them
2x a day. After 7 days it's gone. Today it's back, is there anything I can put on them that he won't
need a collar.

Thanks!

Is Kit biting or licking where the bumps are occurring? It could be a reaction to that. Could it possibly be flea bites? I don't know if they are like this in NY, but in Florida, the fleas have been horrible for the past couple years.

when I took him to vet, he checked for fleas, licking very little. but would like something to put on him that didn't require a collar.

I always have some Halo Purely for Pets Herbal Healing Salve in the house. Have used it for close to 20 years on pet's cuts, scrapes, abrasions, rashes, or bites. There's no chemicals and not a problem if kitty ingests the salve when grooming. I also used it on Alex's ears after a day of frequent BG testing. It's a little pricey, but a tiny bit goes a long way!

If you do a Google search you may be able to find it locally. I've found the salve at Kroger Food Stores, Whole Foods, and several small pet boutiques. Of course, you can also order it online from a variety of sources.

Oh, we've also used it on the two-legged creatures in our home! It's great stuff! :D
